A little bit about Polar Bear Farms White Labs
Our small family farm is located on 7 acres in west central Ohio about a mile across the valley and up the hill from the Mad River. We share with our children, visiting grandchildren, and our white labs; an old red barn, a few out buildings, a couple acres of Christmas trees, a small pond, and some livestock pasture with several sheep, a donkey(Isaac),geese, ducks, pigeons, a few chickens, and three barn cats. Growing up in Iowa and as a farmer we always enjoyed the companionship of man’s best friend, whether at work, play, or just chilling out. Dogs have always been a big piece of our family’s lives and about ten years ago we purchased our first white Labrador retriever. Our love and high regard for (Lola) our first white Labrador made a huge impression and was an important start for us in producing these happy beautiful dogs and sharing a home with them. Leaning on our farming experiences, a desire to produce a great family pet, some friends encouragement, and our high regard for our first Labrador retriever propelled us into a small beginning. Now we have a breeding program focusing on a few important details: white coats, black pigment, easy-going temperament, smart, structurally sound, healthy, and happy friendly companions for anyone. We realize most of these puppies will become a permanent part of a family home, therefore socialization is a huge part of a puppies life experiences. We strive to give them the best early puppy experiences. Hopefully we can pass what we do here at Polar Bear White Labrador retrievers onto a few others who want what I consider “man’s best friend” to be a piece in their family and lives.
